This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. Ghinwa Salem Speech Therapy is the data controller.
Information We Collect
This website has no backend and no database of its own. The contact form does not transmit or store anything on a server — it assembles the details you type into a WhatsApp message that opens in your own WhatsApp application, which you then choose whether to send. Any information you provide through the form reaches us only if you press send in WhatsApp. Separately, the site measures visits in aggregate using Google Analytics; see “Analytics and Cookies” below.
How We Use Your Information
Information you send via WhatsApp, phone, or email is used solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange appointments, and provide speech and language therapy services. It is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
Analytics and Cookies
This site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how families find and move through the pages — which pages are read, which language is chosen, and the general region visitors come from. This is aggregate reporting used to improve the site. It is not used to identify individuals, and it is never combined with anything you tell us about your child or with clinical records. Where the law requires prior consent — the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — analytics stays switched off until you agree, and nothing is measured before you answer. Elsewhere, including Lebanon, analytics is on by default and the banner lets you switch it off. Either way the choice is yours, it is remembered, and declining also deletes any analytics cookies already set. You can change your mind at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. There is no advertising on this site, so advertising and personalisation storage remain disabled permanently, whatever you choose. Where analytics is allowed, Google sets cookies for that purpose and processes the data on its own infrastructure under its privacy policy.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data on the basis of your consent when you contact us, and on the basis of legitimate interest and, where clinical services begin, contractual necessity. Clinical records are additionally handled under the professional confidentiality obligations that apply to speech and language therapists.
Third-Party Sharing
Messages sent to us travel through WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Online sessions are conducted over a video platform subject to that provider's policy. Clinical information is not shared with anyone else without your explicit written consent, except where disclosure is required by Lebanese law or to protect a child from harm.
Your Rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about your family, ask for corrections, request deletion, or withdraw consent at any time. Requests can be sent to ghinwa@ghinwasalem.com and will be answered within a reasonable period.
Data Security
Clinical notes and assessment reports are stored securely and are accessible only to Ghinwa Salem. Because this website holds no records of its own, there is no website database of family or clinical information that could be breached.
Data Retention
Clinical records are retained for the period required by professional practice standards, after which they are securely destroyed. Casual enquiries that do not lead to services are not retained beyond the conversation itself.
